Here’s the scenario... I’m in a multi day tournament. 200+20 buy in. No re-buys.
100 players played yesterday (including me), and 100 players playing today. The final 10 from each day will come back tomorrow. Payout is top 10.
I played very well yesterday but found out late in the day that your chip stack does NOT carry over. Everyone will start with the same stack. I never even thought to ask about that, but being the chip leader... I wasn’t thrilled. At that point, I just tightened up knowing I most likely wouldn’t get blinded out. It worked.
So here’s the thing... I’ve never played in this kind of tournament before (in size, format, or payout). From your experience, what should I expect tomorrow? Any advice for how I should play it?

That's a bit harsh, though I suppose it's to even things up - you're gonna have had players that have had an easy ride, perhaps taken someone who's less in the know for all their chips and gotten a nice stack, compared to someone thats had to grind it out to take the win.

It's a few days ago now, though I'd like to hear how ya got on.

Yeah, I mean c'mon, some lucky guys are going to have had a table of loose players donating chips to the winner. I know it's hard luck if you've spent time accumulating a stack, playing good, solid poker, but I guess it's to even the contest out a little when the competition has been whittled down a bit.
