I have this experience on this one player hoping he will fold by
making a large river bet.Trying to bluff the opponent I've bet $100 on the river the pot is already $100 before the river bet.I was wrong with my decision that time.I've lost the game.Because before I've using small river bet and still lose the game.
So Im thinking if there is something I can do to make a long term solution for this one?I think it was only a coincidence that I lost that large river bet.Because I saw some poker players doing this large river bet.
Any comments on this one? |

It's a good tactic, but choose your amount carefully. Although it must be reasonably large, you need to have your opponent thinking you're on a flush, straight, 3 even 4 of a kind, full house perhaps - anything like that.
It will backfire if your opponent has a genuinely strong hand, but if he's been putting in weak bets, checking and so forth, you might just be able to call his bluff here. |

| I agree that is a good tactic.Facial expressions are one of the key to a perfect bluffing and also the whole body expression. You will be caught if youre not acting well.I think you need an acting workshop.lol |
