Any advice on my question would be greatly apprerciated.
I recently bought a hold em poker game for my computer and I play differently on it than I do in reality and I seem to win more on the game than in reality, I think it is because it's not real money on the game. This might sound stupid but do you guys think I should adapt the style I play in the game to my real play or what? |

| Pc game and real play is very different.Live poker will give you lot of pressure while on the other hand in pc game you can concentrate well.Concentration and experience must be the first to be develop on your game. |

As chris said, it's very different - although it's good to learn tactics and statistics, it can't prepare you for real table games.
AI generally doesn't bluff too often, and will follow set algorithm - this is how it will play in general, and if it's playing a tight game then it will raise big hands and fold poor ones, simple as that. In reality, you have bluffs, you have people who will adjust with the way the game is going etc. |

Yeah, generally software plays things very tightly and has a set algorithm, which differs in effectiveness depending upon the difficulty level you're looking for.
It can't teach you all about poker, but you can learn the cards, the hands and the percentages from it. |

| Agreed, it's good at teaching you the basics, the stats and how to play a reasonably tight game, though you won't learn too much when it comes to tells, bluffing and so forth as most software isn't capable of such. |
