The St. Louis Post-Dispatch shows that on July 10, 2008, Illinois Senate on Thursday voted to keep in place a law that forces the state's casinos to give 3% of their revenues to horse racing tracks. The reninacted law expired last month. The Senate voted to keep it in place until 2011. The measure now moves to the House.
The reason for this law is to help the struggling horseracing industry. |
