I am at that point where I have digested a great share and variety in Poker books and I have actually gone out and gotten a coach, I just got lucky with stealing my coach, he made several final tables in the WSOP including 1 this year, he has 1 braclet and a couple of 2nds. Anyhoo, I think about Poker about 16 hours a day, and I really think my game is strong however. If I had to find 1 big hole in my game, Id say concentration is lacking at times. There will be times when I make it far in a tourney and I am locked in on my game, in the zone. Though it is early on in a tourney and SnGs that I find my mind wandering. It is amazing how I can think Poker all day long and then be playing and suddenly wonder if I turned the sink off or what is on TV later in the evening.
I have been giving serious thought to meditation. I have done some meditation in the past when I played Chess, but I want to know what you guys think of meditation as a way to help concentration, your experiences with meditation such as the types and your successes and what other methods you prescribe for concentration. I have thought about genko beloba and gensing again I took those back in the Chess days too. So just drop me what you think guys, much appreciated. |
